IN THE CHAOS OF 2020, WE FOUND OUR PERSON – OUR EQUILIBRIUM.

We met up and explored the park with our cameras in hand – taking a ton of landscape photos. Before we knew it, it was 4:30am and we had spent the entire night talking in our hammocks, surrounded by the pitch-black dark of the valley.
And, we’ve been inseparable ever since.

When the pandemic started, I began self-reflecting on my past relationships and how I could heal and grow going forward. But like many, I was holed up at home by myself, friendless in Cleveland, Ohio and craving human connection.

While I come from generations of photographers (my grandpa was a wedding photographer and my dad was an event videographer), it was during the pandemic I picked up my camera in an effort to keep exploring my new town. I would wander the streets, taking pictures of people on their doorsteps, and it was then I knew photography would always be how I breathed through the world. During such dark times, I wanted – needed – to keep celebrating life and honoring all our unique stories.

IT WAS ALSO AROUND THIS TIME I JOINED TINDER.

Soon after, I met a boy named Ezra, who had a word-for-word, practically identical bio to mine. Just friends, no hookups, let’s explore the National Park.

THE SECOND EZRA AND I STARTED TALKING, IT WAS AN INSTANT SPARK.
I had never connected with anyone like this before. Shortly after we connected, Ezra invited me on our first date to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

Just minutes after flying back from a bad breakup in Joshua Tree, the 2020 lockdown brought the world to a standstill. And I began a reflective journey that would completely change my life.
